Anneke, marooned on Man Hatta in 1609 and lives among the Lenape People. Can she build a bridge with the Lenape and the first Dutch settlers who arrive 5 years later?

Mamati falls in love with the botanist for the Vancouver Expedition of 1795 while helping him find medicinal plants. Will she leave her homeland when he asks her to return to England with him?

A woman with curly brown hair stands in front of a lush green hedge and a garden path, smiling at the camera.

I’m Marion Dresner. I believe storytelling can inspire people. Born in New York City, I moved to the west coast to work as a park ranger and an environmental educator. After earning a Ph.D. I researched experiential education, impacts of naturescaping backyards and forest ecology, I published my results in journals. This is my first novel.
